Frequently Asked Questions — Let Go and Persevere

Question 1

What is Rapid Transformation Therapy (RTT)?

Accepted Answer

RTT is a pioneering therapy developed by world-renowned therapist Marisa Peer. It combines the most effective principles of hypnotherapy, psychotherapy, neuro-linguistic programming (NLP), and cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) into a single, powerful approach. Rather than managing symptoms, RTT works directly with the subconscious mind to identify and resolve the root cause of your challenge.

Question 2

How is RTT different from traditional therapy or counselling?

Accepted Answer

Traditional therapy often works at the conscious level — talking through experiences and developing coping strategies. RTT goes deeper, accessing the subconscious mind where our core beliefs, patterns, and emotional responses are stored. This means change can happen much faster — often in one to three sessions rather than months or years of weekly appointments.

Question 3

Is RTT the same as hypnotherapy?

Accepted Answer

RTT incorporates hypnotherapy but is far more comprehensive. While traditional hypnotherapy may use suggestion to encourage new behaviours, RTT actively explores the subconscious to find the root cause of your challenge, understand it, and transform it. The result is deeper, more lasting change.

Question 4

Is RTT evidence-based?

Accepted Answer

RTT draws on well-established, evidence-based modalities including CBT, psychotherapy, and NLP. The approach has been developed and refined over 30 years of clinical practice by Marisa Peer, and thousands of practitioners worldwide have used it to help clients with a wide range of challenges. Many clients report results that other approaches had not been able to achieve.

Question 5

What happens during an RTT session?

Accepted Answer

You'll be guided into a deeply relaxed, hypnotic state — similar to the feeling just before sleep. In this state, we access the subconscious mind to explore the root of your challenge. You remain fully aware and in control throughout. We then work to understand, reframe, and transform the beliefs and experiences driving your struggle. Most sessions last 90–120 minutes.

Question 6

Will I lose control or be made to do things I don't want to?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely not. During an RTT session you are in a relaxed but aware state — you cannot be made to say or do anything against your will. You remain in full control at all times and can end the session whenever you choose. Many clients are surprised by how calm and in control they feel throughout.

Question 7

What is the transformation recording?

Accepted Answer

At the end of your session, you receive a personalised audio recording created specifically for you. It reinforces the new beliefs and patterns established during your session. Listening to it daily for 21 days allows the changes to deepen and settle into your everyday life. Most clients find it a deeply relaxing and enjoyable part of the process.

Question 8

How many sessions will I need?

Accepted Answer

Many clients experience profound and lasting shifts in a single session. For more complex or layered challenges — such as deep trauma, long-standing anxiety, or addictions — the Transformation Programme (three sessions over six to eight weeks) is often recommended. We'll discuss what feels right for you during your free discovery call.

Question 9

Do I need to prepare anything before my session?

Accepted Answer

You'll receive simple preparation guidance before your session. The most important thing is to arrive with an open mind and a willingness to explore. It helps to have a quiet, comfortable space where you won't be disturbed, and to avoid alcohol or heavy meals in the hours beforehand.

Question 10

Does RTT work online?

Accepted Answer

Yes — RTT works just as effectively online as in person. All sessions are conducted via video call, and clients from all over the world have experienced powerful transformations this way. The relaxed, hypnotic state is easily achieved online, and many clients find the comfort of their own home actually enhances the experience.

Question 11

What do I need for an online session?

Accepted Answer

A reliable internet connection, a device with a camera and microphone (laptop, tablet, or phone), and a quiet, comfortable space where you won't be disturbed for the duration of the session. Headphones are recommended for the best experience. You'll also want to be somewhere you feel safe to relax fully.

Question 12

What time zones do you work with?

Accepted Answer

All time zones are welcome. Lisa works with clients worldwide and will do her best to find a session time that suits you, wherever you are. Please mention your time zone when you book your discovery call.

Question 13

How quickly will I see results?

Accepted Answer

Some clients notice significant shifts immediately after their session — a sense of lightness, calm, or clarity that wasn't there before. For others, change unfolds gradually over the 21-day listening period as the new beliefs take root. RTT is designed to create lasting transformation, not just temporary relief.

Question 14

What if I don't feel any different after my session?

Accepted Answer

It's normal for the process to continue unfolding in the days and weeks after your session. Change isn't always dramatic — sometimes it's subtle and gradual. Lisa provides follow-up support to ensure you're experiencing the full benefit of your work, and will discuss any concerns with you.

Question 15

Can RTT help with my specific challenge?

Accepted Answer

RTT has been used successfully to address a wide range of challenges including trauma and PTSD, anxiety and stress, phobias and fears, addictions and habits, low self-worth, grief, relationship patterns, and more. The best way to find out if it's right for your specific situation is to book a free discovery call.

Question 16

Is RTT suitable for everyone?

Accepted Answer

RTT is suitable for most adults. However, it may not be appropriate for people with certain conditions including active psychosis, severe dissociative disorders, or epilepsy. If you have any concerns about whether RTT is right for you, please mention them during your discovery call and Lisa will advise honestly.

Question 17

What is a discovery call?

Accepted Answer

A discovery call is a free, no-obligation conversation — typically around 30 minutes — where you and Lisa can connect, discuss what you're hoping to work on, and explore whether RTT feels like the right fit. There's no pressure and no commitment. It's simply a gentle first step.

Question 18

How do I book?

Accepted Answer

Simply fill in the booking form on the Book a Call page. Lisa will be in touch within 24–48 hours to arrange a time for your discovery call. From there, if you decide to proceed, she'll guide you through everything you need to know.

Question 19

Is everything I share kept confidential?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely. Everything you share with Lisa is held in complete confidence. Your privacy and safety are paramount, and nothing you discuss will ever be shared without your explicit consent.

Question 20

Can Catholics use RTT hypnotherapy?

Accepted Answer

The Catechism of the Catholic Church permits hypnotherapy when used for legitimate therapeutic purposes, and many devout Catholics have found that RTT deepens their sense of self-worth and inner freedom in ways that complement, rather than conflict with, their faith.
